I've always had a passion for healthy living.
It's my life-long mission to coach, train, and motivate clients to transform their lives.
I began working in the fitness industry while still in college and my interest quickly expanded to corporate wellness through graduate school. I enjoyed a significant period of my career at Marriott International headquarters, earning the C. Everett Koop National Health Award and testifying at a White House Commission as an expert on worksite health promotion. My time at Marriott also kicked off my love of creating motivational seminars for busy working adults to help them harness the elusive thing called motivation and put together lasting, realistic wellness plans.
As I began to start a family, a natural shift happened that changed my focus to fitness and wellness for busy moms. I left Marriott to focus solely on my new business, Fitness InSight. Other moms would often ask me how I fit in exercise as a busy mom of three. I had so much to say that I wrote and published The Busy Mom’s Ultimate Fitness Guide: Get Motivated and Find the Solution that Works for You!.
My book led to exposure on local TV, a feature in The Washington Post, more speaking engagements, and in a roundabout way, to yet another population - older adults. I spent valuable time as the Director of Lifestyle and Wellness for a large retirement community that employed over 800 people and was home to over 1300 seniors with an average age of 85. My third population to work with had its own unique needs, interests, and success stories!
In 2017, I created Inspiring Vitality with a renewed focus on writing, speaking, and consulting for groups and individuals, combining what I learned and applied with working adults, busy moms, and older adults. In 2019 I authored and published BOOM: 6 Steps to a Longer, Healthier Life, and was excited to see that in its first week it earned the Amazon Best Seller Banner with almost 3,000 downloads and purchases of the paperback and Kindle versions combined. The theme is a resounding "it's never too early and it's never too late" and it's powerful! Through all of my experiences I've been fortunate to work with such a wide variety of backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels. I'm passionate about bringing my expertise to a larger audience to help more people achieve vitality and a quality of life that they never thought was possible.
